3⅛" equals 79.375mm, which is slightly narrower than 80mm. Most 80mm-wide printers will accept 3⅛" rolls without issue. However, if your printer is specifically calibrated for 80mm, the 0.6mm difference may cause minor edge alignment variations. For Verifone and Ingenico terminals, always specify 3⅛" (not 80mm).
The Verifone VX520 uses 3⅛" × 230' thermal paper rolls with a 0.5" core. Our rolls are manufactured to Verifone's recommended specifications and are compatible with all VX-series terminals including VX520, VX570, VX680, and VX820.
